Welcome to Good Soul Sailing — We are a family of five, setting sail on the journey of a lifetime. After years of dreaming, planning, and soul-searching, we’ve traded our routines and roots in the prairies of Alberta, Canada for a floating home and a year shaped by salt air, sunsets, and shared experiences.
We are five souls (plus one golden retriever named Maddie) seeking something more—more connection, more purpose, more presence.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to embark on a transformative family journey aboard Good Soul, embracing a life of simplicity, adventure, and connection. Through immersive experiences in nature and diverse cultures, we aim to grow as individuals and as a family—building resilience, curiosity, empathy, and lifelong memories. We will unplug from the noise of everyday life and lean into learning, laughter, and love, guided by the wind, the sea, and each other.
Vision Statement
We envision a life untethered from convention—where education happens on the water, family bonds deepen under starlit skies, and every horizon offers a new perspective. Our journey will be one of discovery and intentional living, inspiring others to chase bold dreams, embrace discomfort, and find joy in the journey, not just the destination.
We are a blended family of 7, leaving two older sons, Austin and Aidan behind who are starting their own life adventures.
Inventive and curious, Jakaya is the family tinkerer—always asking how things work and figuring out how to fix them. Jakaya loves to fish and is learning something new everyday!
